Public radio positioning system (RPS) is an open-source positioning system that utilizes public brodcast radio signals to tell a user's location.
RPS corrleates radio frequencies of public broadcast radio stations with open-source data about their locations to triangulate a user's position. It's built from cheap and simple off-the-shelf electronics. The most recent prototype has a precision of 500m, within the area of Berlin.
